A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDERS
BeerCraving evolved out of a desire of two friends to catalogue and recall all their beer experiences. Photos have long served as a way to jog the memory of past experiences, but this has never really been applied to beer. With the vast and expanding world of craft beer now available, we wanted to create a hub to house these explorations of all things beer.
BeerCraving is a virtual pub crawl around the world, guided by our users. It’s a way to remember the name of the brew you enjoyed in that small town on the west coast. It’s a way for you to share that experience with other enthusiasts. Please come along with us on this exciting expedition to enjoy quality brew.

HOW TO USE BEERCRAVING
Beer lovers can browse our site by city or tags.
If a photo looks interesting to you and you’d like to learn more, click on it. You will be taken to its’ original site where you can read more in depth.
By registering an account with us, you will be able to begin submitting photos and and interacting with other users.
Whether you’re drinking a beer at your favorite bar or just cracked open a rare beer in your basement, Beer Craving is the place to share your drinking experience with friends. Did your local brewpub just tap a new beer tonight? Be the first to let other beer lovers know about it. Snap a photo of your brew and send it to us to post. Your photo can link to the website of the brewery/bar/store or a personal blog/website with a short article or review of the beer.
Users can “Crave” a beer, place, etc, or “Love” when they review posts.
In our eyes it doesn’t benefit our site to allow users to hate on certain beers or breweries. This is why we decided to stay away from ratings. We feel that too often beer ratings are unfairly skewed. Rather we want our site to encourage users to try new beers, go to new restaurants and experience beer for themselves.
Brewers, keep doing what you do and we will be here to showcase your craft. Feel free to submit pictures of beers that you brew and we will share them with the world.
POINT SYSTEM
- Every time you submit a photo +20 points
- Another user "craves" your submission +10 points
- Another user "loves" your submission +15 points
When users reach certain levels of points they will be eligible for FREE merchandise in the BeerCraving store.
500 points = a free BeerCraving t-shirt
1000 points = a free BeerCraving glass
You can view your points under the "My Account" tab
